The rushed nature of United’s attacks in settled possession regardless of the game state or the amount of time remaining in the match frequently resulted in poorly judged actions. United’s defenders and midfielders have been constantly stretched with not enough time to get themselves into better positions to counter-press if possession is lost.

Sporting CP bid an emotional farewell to Ruben Amorim after their win over Manchester City.  Amorim will be heading to Manchester United and will take over as the head coach from November 11.  The 39-year-old was given a new Tifo by the Sporting fans before the match on November 5.
